Dilemmas of European Intervention through Aid in Palestine / Israel

Humanitarian, military and financial aid has become a definig feature of the economy of Israel / Palestine. The history of the formulation of aid policies towards this area, Israel’s responses to this, and its own dependency on it teaches much about the contradictions in the peace process. Shir Hevers’s talk and the subsequent discussion with Prof. Dr. Fanny-Michaela Reisin will focus on the dilemmas created by European aid policies which are among the reasons for the current political impasse.
